Mr. Ramos is an immigrant from Michoacán, Mexico and has been working with nonprofit organizations in the Greater Boston area since 1985, and in the Chicago region since 1989. Mr. Ramos has organized within immigrant communities on issues such as Public Health, Fair Housing, Tenants Rights, Immigrant Rights, Labor and Worker Rights, Human Rights, and more. Mr. Ramos is a generalist and has experience in managing all of the administrative, financial and fiscal systems of nonprofit organizations. Mr. Ramos is also an experienced fundraiser and has participated through the years in the Boards of Directors of several philanthropic organizations in Chicago and nationwide, such as: The Crossroads Fund (Chicago), The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (Chicago), the National Presbyterian Committee for the Self-Development of People (Louisville, Kentucky), and the Fund for Immigrants and Refugees out of the Donors Forum of Chicago. Mr. Ramos’ expertise will be very instrumental for CAAAELII and we are fortunate to have him back within our Staff. Mr. Ramos is also a Professor at the Seminario Biblico Hispano in Chicago, which offers a Bachelors in Biblical Studies in collaboration with FLET University in Florida. Mr. Ramos has a Bachelors in Business Administration from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and is currently enrolled in a Masters of Theological Studies program at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois.
